Supporting neurodivergent employees starts with understanding. Not guesswork.

Do-IT Profiler is our online neurodiversity profiler that provides organisations, HR and People teams, and individuals with the screening tools to identify, support and maximise each person's outcomes.

The workplace landscape has changed. Has your approach kept up?

15–20%

of the population is neurodivergent — at least 1 in 6 of your workforce

5,000%+

increase in neurodiversity-related employment tribunal cases since 2016

86%

of HR professionals have seen a definite increase in Employee Relations (ER) cases with a neurodiversity element

No diagnosis required

Employers have a legal duty to make reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010, even without a formal diagnosis

Most employers are aware of neurodiversity. Far fewer have a consistent, scalable process for identifying and supporting neurodivergent employees. The gap between awareness and action is where risk arises — and where talented people are quietly struggling or leaving.

Do-IT Profiler closes that gap.

What Is Do-IT Profiler?

A web-based screening system built for the workplace

Do-IT Profiler is a modular, web-based neurodiversity screening platform developed over more than 20 years by Professor Amanda Kirby — one of the UK's leading clinical and research experts in neurodiversity.

It is already trusted by more than 100,000 users across the UK and Ireland, and has been implemented across employment, apprenticeship, education, and justice settings. In the workplace, it gives organisations a structured, person-centred way to identify neurodivergent traits, generate personalised support, and create an evidence trail that demonstrates compliance with reasonable adjustment duties. Why the approach matters as much as the tool.

Overlap is recognised, not ignored

Neurodivergent traits co-occur more often than not. Up to 4 in 5 people with autism also have DCD; up to 1 in 2 people with dyslexia also have dyscalculia. Screening for one condition and missing the rest isn't support, it's a partial picture. Do-IT Profiler screens across six neurodivergent trait areas simultaneously: Dyslexia, Dyspraxia/DCD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) traits, Dyscalculia and Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) traits. The screening explores areas including literacy, attention, memory, coordination, social communication, language, numeracy and more.

Strengths, not just struggles

The profiler captures both strengths and challenges. Adjustments and support are more effective when they're based on a full picture of the individual.

Contextualised to the workplace

Reports, recommended adjustments, and resources are tailored to the employee's strengths and challenges.

Triaging built in

The system flags individuals who may need further assessment or specialist support — so you can prioritise resources and act early, before situations escalate.

The return on doing this well

01

Legal compliance, documented

Do-IT Profiler generates a detailed, timestamped record of the screening process and recommended accommodations. In the event of an employment tribunal, this demonstrates proactive steps taken to meet reasonable adjustment duties.

02

Reduced Employee Relations (ER) case load

Early identification and targeted support reduces the likelihood of performance issues, sickness absence, and formal complaints escalating. The profiler helps you act before situations deteriorate.

03

Retention and cost avoidance

Replacing a salaried employee costs an average of 6-9 months' salary when you factor in recruitment, onboarding, and lost productivity. Retaining a supported neurodivergent employee is significantly cheaper — and produces better outcomes for the team.

04

Inclusive employer positioning

Organisations that actively support neurodivergent employees attract a broader talent pool and build a reputation that supports recruitment as well as retention.

05

Workforce intelligence

The management dashboard enables cohort-level analysis — identifying patterns across teams, roles, or departments that inform strategic People decisions.
