Neurodiversity Celebration Week (often shortened to "Neurodiversity Week") is a worldwide initiative that challenges stereotypes and misconceptions about neurological differences. It gives schools, universities and organisations the opportunity to recognise neurodivergent talents and build more inclusive cultures.
It was founded by Siena Castellon in 2018, and its purpose is to help the world understand, value and celebrate the talents of neurodiverse minds — including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and autism, framed as differences that bring real strengths, not deficits.
Working together to create a world that understands it takes all kinds of different minds.
Continue to increase acceptance and understanding of neurodivergent minds.
Move beyond awareness by focusing on action.
Provide education that helps people understand neurodivergent talents and needs.
Celebrate neurodiversity for the strengths and talents it brings.
2027 marks a shift from pure awareness towards organisational action — best practice in leadership, systems change, and scaling inclusion across workplaces, schools and communities.
For the first time, community members can host their own webinars and panel discussions, sharing lived experience, research or solutions, with toolkits provided to help them do so.
Lexxic is proud to partner with Neurodiversity Celebration Week, alongside Do-IT, and we're taking part again in 2027. Details of Lexxic's own activity for the week are still being confirmed — register your interest below and we'll let you know as soon as our plans are set.
